Green Screen Background Muslin

Muslin green screen background is the preferred background for both professional and amateur photographers. Green is one of the best colors to work with, as it is furthermost from natural skin hues. There are different shades of green; the brighter greens are better for photography work.

Muslin is a strong, hardy fabric woven from cotton; it is favored over other fabrics, as it is easier to paint or dye. It is thick enough to allow even lighting, which does not happen with thinner materials. Muslin is light for easy transporting, yet durable. Though machine-washable, muslin is very prone to creases. Unless a wrinkle effect is required for photography, the muslin backdrop must be ironed to remove the creases.

As muslin is prone to wrinkles, it is best not to fold them. Creases will create shadows; rolling the muslin backdrop would be a better way of carrying it.
